Help showing list of units available based on date chosen

I need help with an expression/slice/formula….etc.. I have a table that list all our units. Each unit goes on rent and comes back off rent. I have two columns for these dates:

[day on rent]

[projected end date]

I need a way to allow my users to select a date and the app shows a list of the available (not on rent) units (based on that date).

Here is the dashboard pic I was working on but I cannot make this work.

I know I will need some sort of slice and maybe a Virtual column with “availability”, but I cannot figure out which.
