Hi, I think that they have already solved it. Because today, my PDFs are back to their normal size.

No change - 6mb in February -25mb today. (19th March)
Today, I received a message from Google Support stating that the problem has been resolved. I ran a test and can confirm it.

This problem happened some time back. As I save pdfs a lot from google docs this means that my google drive fills up seven times faster when the file is 35mb instead of 5 Mb. A good reason to not fix the problem! Most online PDF compressors get my 35mb down to 3-5 mb easily. Google your adds are turning rotten and so is your fact checking of Utube. You now have been proven WRONG so many times. If you want to be a good fact checker start by checking the endless energy and computer fan air conditioners that are a HUGE scam. When a google alternative comes along -I’m gone. it wont be long at this rate.
