Generating Baby Model Images for Product Catalog – Allowed on Vertex AI?

We’re exploring Vertex AI’s image generation capabilities for a product catalog automation project.

Our brand, is a leading babywear company in India. As part of our internal research, we’re testing how AI can help generate model images based on our existing flat-lay product shots — specifically outfits for baby g-i-r-l-s aged around 3 years.

The challenge we’re facing is that many platforms restrict model generation for minors due to safety settings (often marked as “adults only” or disallowed). We completely understand the need for such safeguards, but wanted to ask:

Is there a way to use Vertex AI for generating baby model images for legitimate brand use, strictly for internal R&D?

This would not be used for public distribution or marketing — just to test whether we can streamline catalog creation using AI.
We are happy to comply with any policy, request access under review, or follow ethical guidelines as needed.

Any advice, guidance, or alternate approaches would be hugely appreciated.

By default, Vertex AI generative models follow Google’s Responsible AI policies, which generally prohibit generation of images of minors, even for internal use, to ensure child safety and prevent misuse.
