We have some web/API services on GCP/GKE/GCE for a few years. Today, we found some of public IPs are blocked suddenly without any notice, like 157.185.148.28, 157.185.145.180 … Does any one know why?
Are these VM or GKE node IPs? Or are these load balancer IPs?
Thanks!
Some of those blocked “157.185.148.28, 157.185.145.180 …” are our API/WEB users in China. Those users used to connect our GKE service through the Load balancer directly without any issue until today.
For example:
I’ll check, but don’t think we did anything. I wonder if your endpoints are now blocked by the Great Firewall in China.
That’s odd. Their connection are OK with our GKE microservice for years already …
THANKS!
Actually, those blocked “157.185.148.28, 157.185.145.180 …”, which having the usual lower network traffic, are in U.S.A (Not in China at all) . Also, they are all unblocked now. This kind of unexpected GCP/GKE outage already impacts our business . Hope it’s not some incorrect AI firewall rejection …
Hi garisingh, Do you find any hint why GCP/GKE blocks our users suddenly for ~4 hrs yesterday? We have to give an explain to our customers also. Thanks!
