Hello Looker Studio Team,
After the most recent update, I noticed that the field descriptions in the data panel and chart settings now display additional unnecessary details such as the field type and default aggregation.
This new behavior makes the description appear cluttered and harder to read. It also distracts users from the actual purpose of the description, which is to provide clear and concise context about the field itself.
Previously, the description was clean and user-friendly — now it feels overloaded with technical information that most report viewers or editors don’t need to see.
Could you please consider reverting this change or adding an option to hide the extra metadata (type and aggregation) from field descriptions? This would greatly improve readability and focus for creators working with complex data models.
Thank you for your attention and continued support.
Best regards
