Bug fixes
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Bug | Desktop UI (preview) now deep-links properly. Navigating from hyperlink like<br>https://www.appsheet.com/start/.../#control=view&row=id<br>should now open up the correct view once desktop UI is loaded. |
| Bug | For desktop UI (preview), show selection state when inline view item is selected. For example: ![lizlynch_0-1675347766053.png |
| Bug | For desktop UI (preview), the drop-down input string no longer auto-clears after user selection in multi-select drop-downs. Previously, after a user selected an item in a multi-select drop-down, AppSheet would automatically reset the input search string. This is no longer the case, allowing users to select multiple items without the input string resetting. For example: ![lizlynch_1-1675347855792.png |
| Bug | For desktop UI (preview), an issue has been fixed where drop-down options can overflow text into other options. Previously, options with long text could overflow into other options. Now, options are limited to one line of text max with ellipses indicating overflow. |
| Bug | For desktop UI (preview), Enum and EnumList types will respect read-only mode. Previously, the Enum and EnumList types would sometimes ignore editable versus read-only mode in the desktop UI due to a bug. This bug has now been fixed. |
| Bug | For the improved editor (preview), implementation issues with the Search field in the left navigation panel have been fixed. We now show the columns themselves as you search, and then highlight them in the content when selected. For example: ![lizlynch_0-1675348036484.png |
Rollout changes
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Enhancement | An alert message is now issued if an app user attempts to edit or delete a record that is restricted by security filters. Previously, no alert message was issued. New: Deployed to 100% of free users and 100% of paid users. Previous: Deployed to 100% of free users and 50% paid users. |
| Bug | For Desktop UI (preview), fixed inconsistent expression results in Desktop forms. Certain expressions were producing different results in Desktop mode, specifically those that involve searches (e.g. SELECT() or LOOKUP()) over the same table currently being edited in the form. With Desktop mode off, the pending changes in the unsaved form are not included in the result. With Desktop mode on, they were being included. After this change, they will again be omitted from the result.New: Deployed to 50% of free users. Previous: Deployed to 25% of free users. |
