Feature Request: Optional Opacity/Transparency Control for Detail View Panels

Hi AppSheet Team,

I would like to propose a feature enhancement for UI/UX customization in Detail View.

Current Limitation:

Currently, when a Background Image is set for a view, the system’s data panel (white in Light Mode, black in Dark Mode) completely covers the background. This limits creators from achieving modern, layered, or immersive designs.

Proposed Feature:

Add an Optional Opacity/Transparency slider (from 0 to 100) specifically for the Detail View data container.

Key Implementation Idea:

This feature can be kept disabled by default to maintain the standard AppSheet look for regular users. However, for “Power Users” or those who want a custom look, they can enable it to reveal the background image behind the data.

Key Benefits:

Full Background Visibility: By setting opacity to 0%, the background (including Animated SVG backgrounds) becomes fully visible, creating a “native-app” feel.

Glassmorphism & Neumorphism Design: This enables modern design trends natively without complex workarounds.

Advanced Branding: Businesses can show their brand identity/watermarks subtly behind the data interaction layer.

Enhanced Animation: If a background is an Animated SVG, it can stay alive and visible while users scroll through data.

This small, optional setting would significantly upgrade the design capabilities for all AppSheet creators who prioritize professional UI/UX.

Thank you for your consideration!
