Feature Request: Freeze/Sticky First Column in Table View

Dear AppSheet Team,

I am a doctor currently building an AppSheet application to manage critical medical data and drug guidelines. I heavily rely on the “Table View” to display this information.

However, there is a significant usability issue: when scrolling horizontally to view other columns, the first column (e.g., Drug Name) disappears from the screen. In medical applications, losing sight of the primary item row can lead to dangerous misinterpretations or reading the wrong row’s data.

I kindly request that you implement a “Freeze Column” or “Sticky Column” feature for the Table View, similar to what is available in Google Sheets. This would ensure that the primary column remains visible while scrolling horizontally, significantly improving user experience and data safety.

Thank you for your time and continuous improvements

@goran1

Hope you are keeping well.

Turn preview features on, match these requirements.

  • First column represents the key or label of the table AND
  • First column width <= 50% of screen width AND
  • If table has at least 3 columns

When these conditions are met, the first column is frozen by default.Regarding the 2nd condition, if you drag that first column manually too wide, it will disable freezing until that column as dragged back to 50% or less of the views width .

Thank you so much @Denzil_Snyman!

Turning on Preview Features and matching those requirements completely solved the issue for me. May God Almighty reward you with good and guide you to the straight path.
