Hello everyone,
I am writing to kindly request a feature update regarding conversation history management in the Gemini app for Google Workspace (specifically G Suite Legacy) accounts.
Currently, individual users on these tiers do not have a “Delete” option in their sidebar menu or on the Google My Activity page. The system is locked to a global retention policy (such as 18 months), meaning old conversations continuously stack up without a way to manually clean them up.
While I understand this is tied to enterprise data management, it creates a severe usability barrier for me. I have low vision, and navigating a massive, overloaded wall of text especially on my mobile device causes severe eye strain and makes it incredibly difficult to find what I need.
I have a few very important chats containing “Tips and Tricks” that I really want to keep and reference. However, because I cannot delete the temporary, unimportant chats, my sidebar has become completely cluttered and unreadable.
Could Google please consider pushing the manual chat deletion feature down to the Free Legacy / Workspace tiers? Having a simple “Delete” button would allow users with visual impairments to organize a clean, accessible, and functional workspace while still preserving the important educational chats they need.
