We’re in the year 2025 and appsheet still doesn’t offer a way to natively display EnumList values as visually distinct pills or tags.
Anyone have suggestions for workarounds?
Lots of apps still don’t display list items as pills. Sheets only started doing it recently. I am not aware of any workarounds that would allow that in AppSheet.
Honestly, AppSheet’s target is business users so the focus is on simplicity, workflow and performance. They have not spent a lot of time on visually appealing UI’s. Quite frankly, most businesses don’t care about eye appealing displays. They just want to get their data in, processed, pull out the results and get on with their day.
But I do understand the appeal for apps that might not be business oriented. AppSheet just isn’t the best for that style of apps.

What kind of solution do you want to have? Please give a screenshot what it should be so we could understand is there a workaround or not.
