Hi all,

This is more for curiosity’s sake as I was asked this question by a customer,

“Can you add a signature stored in appsheet to an existing PDF?”

Naturally my instinct said no but I am curious if there is a possibility this can be done using some sort of API/Integration? I did some research and found PDF.CO claiming their API had the ability to do so naturally I became curious?

Anyone had any experience with this sort of thing?

Customer workflow was

Up-loader adds a quotation PDF to the app the approver should look through the quotation and approve it at which point up-loader will print out the PDF with approver’s signature and make the purchase

Yes, but it’s not by any imagination easy. And it would involve apps script.

Why not make a new version of the pdf -with the signature- through appsheet when approving?

The issue is the quotation in question is generated by a third party - mostly likely multiple suppliers for different types of acquisitions. So creating a new pdf is out of the question for his requirement.

If this can be done through app-script can you please point me in the right direction and give me a rough idea how so links would really be helpful, thank you very much for your reply !

Unfortunately no, the nature of a PDF seems to prevent any straightforward solutions for this requirement
