Drop down menus does not render properly in responsive layout

Using a responsive layout, the content of drop down menus appear out of place in VIEW mode. Edit mode seems unaffected. See Loom:

This happens in desktop mode, tablet mode, and mobile mode.
The issue was present in:

  • In desktop mode (Chrome on MacOS)
  • In tablet mode preview (Looker Studio’s built in preview)
  • In tablet mode simulation of Chrome dev tools (iPad Air, iPad Pro)
  • on an actual iPad Pro 13 inch in Safary, full screen browser either in portrait of landscape
