Drawing Field Duplication across multiple records

in my app I have a drawing field and on some occasions, possibly when working offline, the app copies one of the drawings and replicates it to several other drawings on different rows of the table, thereby losing the original, correct drawing. Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a fix for it? it seems to happen when the device is working offline but i’m not 100% sure this is the cause.

Recently @Jake_Naude also reported similar issue.

He has mentioned he has raised it with the support team. You may also wish to do the same.

Yes, I’ve raised it with support, but also wanted to see if anyone here had solved it somehow.

Im having the same trouble, I have a drawing and in other part of the form I have a related table that enables other drawings, If I dont save the form before inputing more drawings it will duplicate all when saved.

Hi, from what i can gather, this will affect all Appsheet users who work offline with the drawing field, in many cases for those who use the drawing field to collect signatures. The design of the app doesn’t matter as i created a very basic app just to test this issue and it still happened. The only solution is to keep the device online and ensure it synchronises after every drawing added.

I’ve been waiting 4 weeks so far for a response from appsheet support, so you will need to find a way to minimise the issue until they get around to this one.

We also raised a support ticket and have had an update…

As an update from our Product team, this issue should be fixed in version 17.4 of Android app, which soon will roll out to the PlayStore.

Hi, I’ve tested 17.4 and can confirm the bug appears to be fixed.

If we are using a branded label of android version, when this will update to 17.4, I deployed all again and the version is 17.2.1. Thanks.

I’m no expert on this but we’re on 17.4.2 as of writing, it should have updated by now.

If you search for Appsheet app in Google play store does it show an update button? or maybe you have a MDM system in place that is preventing updates coming through?

Yes but thats its if you are using the appsheet app, we are using the white label branded app with our custom name and if I check the version its says 17.2.1, even if I update right now it wont update to 17.4.2.

Hi, I don’t know about that issue, maybe contact support about it..
