I can definitely see why you would want to be able to disable the tooltip on pie charts, and that sounds like a great feature idea. When you are able, would you be willing to submit a feature request to let our team know more details about your use case? In the meantime, I’ve come across some user solutions that mention placing a transparent square over the chart prevents the hover functionality from working.

thanks a lot for your reply.
Placing a transparent square over the chart reduces the chart into a simple still image. Not only is the hover functionality prevented from working but unfortunately any interaction with the chart is also prevented.
I guess I’d better submit that feature request like you suggested.
