is it planning or not?
Where? Can you provide more context and explanation?
Apps script at least
Apps Script is something of an anomaly. When Google acquired 2Web technologies and rebranded the product as Google Sheets, they needed some way to simulate macros similar to Excel. The first iterations of Apps Script served that role. Over time it was extended to support more.
Behind the scenes internal support for Apps Script appears to be somewhat rocky. Rumor has it, Apps Script has come close to being deprecated on a few occasions but thankfully its still with us.
Currently Apps Script only supports one language runtime - Chrome V8 (Javascript). I doubt Google will expand it to support more languages as that might put it in contention with some of its premium cloud-based/serverless products - for example, Cloud Run Functions.
In any event, you can still use Python with Google Workspace APIs and Google Cloud APIs and there are Python-specific client libraries for those APIs on github. That is technically direct support.
sounds like “what is dead may never die”)
meanwhile, ram\storage (nvm what type of) goes to high price (don’t believe it gets cheaper over a time), so GD might save some costs for small business and keep loyalty for those who tired from MS.
p.s. ah, nvm, reading the forum deeper than couple of days before, i see that not only python and GD are unfavorite\unlucky\etc.
weird, especially when AIs are everywhere literally and IT-gigants luring users.
jfyi, py math lib provides a tonne of flexibility handling custom datasets in GD vs any js version. seems, the offline math is the only option
sorry i have a question here.
I’m a student building a modular Django-based welfare management system that I hope will become production-ready. Before I continue adding features, I’d like feedback from experienced Google Cloud developers: What architectural decisions should I make now regarding project structure, database design, authentication, testing, deployment, scalability, and security so I don’t accumulate technical debt later? Are there any Google Cloud services or best practices you recommend adopting early rather than retrofitting later?
