Dimensions not showing in data panel - "No fields Available"

Hi Everyone,

Recently a Looker report I had running for a few weeks seemed to lose the connection to its database which is an AppSheets Database. I tried a few edits on the connection which looked perfect, but it didn’t help. I then deleted and recreated the DB connection. this worked OK, however despite all of the data fields appearing in the data source pane, there are no fields to select in the data panel when creating the viewport charts. There are no errors showing and the data connection information is clearly linked. I’ve refreshed the data fields and connection several times but the fields just don’t seem to appear. It seems like a bug in Looker Studio. Any suggestions would be fantastic! Thanks in advance.

If you have already tested removing the connection and adding it back as the data source and refreshing fields also does not help, please refer: https://support.google.com/looker-studio/answer/7378335?hl=en&ref_topic=7441387&sjid=12305414938478527070-NC to Revoke Looker’s access to your Google account then add it back. This might help refresh the connection and fields.

Additionally, please remove Looker from the equation of troubleshooting and test the database connection externally first to ensure all the components/fields are present and that your credentials are valid.

I have the same issue. However, if i try to add the same data source again, it seems to have worked. I do not like this resolution because I have about 20 different dashboards that seem to have broken this way. https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/Looker-Studio/Broken-dashboards-Funnel-to-Looker-Studio/td-p/868854

Any other recommendation you have for me, please?
