Hello guys,..How do you set the price for development ? I have a client who wants to build an app with appsheet but i dont know what the best price i have to give to my client,is by the view, table,or the difficulty of development that app?
Few different ways to go about this, but generally you just need to figure out:
- How long will it take me to do X?
- How much do I need to be paid in order for that to feel like it’s worth it to me?
You don’t want to charge too low of a price where you feel like you’re giving it away, but you don’t want to price things too high and scare them away.
This is where it’s difficult in the beginning, because you may not have a good idea of how long it will take you to do X. (Maybe doing some experiments to figure it out would help.)
Agree, i think for the first client i will charge based on the view, how many view they want, how long it takes time, and how difficulty the app.thank you for the answer.
Things to consider when projecting cost:
-
How many tables are involved, and how many columns in each table
-
How “involved” the forms will be
- Think about the “interactions” the users will go through; how complex will these need to be
-
What actions will be needed to move data through processes
-
What views you’ll need to make
-
Formatting rules
-
Automation/Bots
-
Document Exporting [PDF, CSV, etc.] <–(THIS takes the most time; double what you think)
-
Onboarding (getting the app into their hands, getting them using it)
Good luck!
