Desktop: Set Position to first, next, middle, later, or last: how to order ?

Hi all,

i’m a bit confused on how to order my 7 views in the order i want in desktop.

How to assign 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 position to my 7 views in the exact order i choose?

1 - first

2 - next

3 - middle

4 - later

5 - last

6 & 7 - last

It’s good till 5 position (from 1 to 5).

If i would give the exact position also to 4, 6 and 7 ?

Any workaround ?

5 - last (1)

6 - last (2)

7 - last (3)

I saw that thread but frankly i don’t understand how / where to rename “last” to last(1), last(2), last(3 …

The conversation that @jkevz linked to explains that:

  • View names do not govern view position.
  • Views assigned the same position are ordered chronologically based on each view’s creation date. Therefore, to move a view to the end of the group of views assigned to the same position you can duplicate the view (thus creating a view with a new creation date) and delete the original view.

@lizlynch , it would be great to have definitive documentation regarding how views assigned to the same position are sequenced–e.g., in https://support.google.com/appsheet/answer/10106688?hl=en#position.
