Data Source Aliases are Disappearing!

We use the Linking API to install dashboards for all our clients, which require the use of the data source alias name. We are finding that the alias name we have set in our master dashboards has disappeared! When we rename it and close the dashboard, then open it again, the alias name is gone again. (So our installations no longer work with the Linking API.)

I have checked this in multiple accounts and it seems to be a widespread issue. The alias names disappear if the dashboard is opened, then closed again…then when it is opened again, they are gone.

Google, please help!

Update: Google Cloud Support is aware of this issue, has been able to reproduce it, and is looking into a resolution.
