I have been tasked to create settings that ensure only relevant dashboards from the entire organizational dashboard is accessible to each functional group (departments). Meaning, the growth team should only see dashboards meant for the growth department on their individual landing page. How can I go about this?
If we are talking about Looker (rather than Looker Studio) you can do something like this by using the landing page user attribute to set a specific URL to be the default home page for each group of users (so, in your example, you would have a ‘growth team’ group and they would all have the same landing page user attribute). And the specific URL for each group would be a board or folder that you create with their dashboards and Looks.
In terms of preventing users from seeing content outside of their area, you can control folder (i.e. content) access in a similar way, by making folders visible only to teams that should have access. If a group or individual does not have ‘view’ access to a folder, they will not be able to see any content in it.
