I have two GA4 properties connected to Looker Studio: one for the client’s website and another for the mobile app.
I created the same custom dimension (“Promotion Name”) in both properties, and I’m using a filter to switch between Website and APP data.
The native dimension “Session source / medium” works correctly when I filter APP data, which suggests the filter itself is working.
However, for the custom dimension “Promotion Name,” when I filter the APP data source, all values disappear and only “(not set)” is returned.
This issue happens only with the custom dimension table. Native dimensions work normally.
I already confirmed that the custom dimension exists in both GA4 properties, but Looker Studio still does not return the APP values correctly.
Has anyone experienced this with custom dimensions across multiple GA4 properties? Could this be related to scope, API name differences, or data source schema refresh?
