Computation Time For Formulas

Hi, i was wondering if some of you can help me understand the difference between formulas. I mean, we all want to build a very thin apps to decrease the sync time and for this reason a want to understand what can we do in terms of maybe avoiding something and doing other things better.

Here an example,

What is better: [Name]=“Jhon” or contains([Name]=“Jhon”).

Little bit difficult to give an exact guidence as we don’t have direct access to code to see how everything is configured. But in generally speaking, the simpler the better.
