A few weeks ago, whenever i clicked the blue button with a pencil (improved editor mode) it would take me to edit the Column properties but now it’s taking me to the View options. Does anyone noticed this change? Is there a way to bring it back?

Hover your cursor on the list of columns, you will see a pencil icon. Click on that and it will help you edit column properties.

AppSheet developers make odd choices sometimes.
Yeah I noticed too.
It’s annoying.
My forms can have a multitude of poorly worded column names that I now have to sift through to find the right column. Was much quicker and direct before this change.
Actually I take that back, it does show which column it is by highlighting it in the list of my poorly worded column names. So that’s fine with me, I can work with that. Maybe it was doing this before but my eyesight needed checking.

but this method does not solve the problem, because previously when you press the “blue button with a pencil” the editor of a specific field was immediately opened. And now you first need to find this field in the list of columns. Most likely, this is an AppSheet bug, because at first this option worked fine.
ho ho ho, I just now noticed that the selected column is highlighted by blinking twice. But need to have excellent vision for that.

I was previously working on the finishing touches on an app when I made the comment that I was ok with the changes…
Now that I’ve spent a day or two making a new app and feeling all those extra mouse clicks to do exactly the same thing, this was another step backwards for Appsheet. The interface is becoming less developer friendly bit by bit with these small pointless and unnecessary changes.
