Color on Charts Column Based

I would love the ability to format the columns with a different color. This tool is “nutty good”. Just saying…

One idea, though may not be ideal…

Create a VC to identify your groups. In your case, LEFT([col name],2) ought give you “3M”, “YT” and “PY”.

Then use the new Chart editor and use that VC as the color code.

Try it and see if it adds any improvement to what you currently have.

Thanks, I didn’t know there was a new chart editor. Not a huge fan so far, but I’ll keep tinkering with it. I’d be quite happy with my current chart if the format rules (Color column based) would simply work. To me it seems like a bug that it doesn’t work. Possible that the development efforts have shifted to the new chart editor as well.
