I have an app developed that uses six different child record types per parent record. There is only one child record per type, but in many cases there are multiple types for each parent record. Our personnel are in the field on iPads. They are the latest iPad Airs with the M2 chip so they are robust.
It’s for a disaster relief effort (now working in Asheville, NC after the flooding there). I have a parent record for each home, then one “chainsaw task” record, one “tarp task” record, etc. After each child record is added, it appears on the iPad below the parent record. if I tap on one of the child records (say a chainsaw record) to edit it, then save it, it works well. If I then tap on another child record (say a tarp record), it brings up the previous chainsaw record rather than the tarp record. I have to go back and save the parent record for the tarp record to appear for edits.
This appears to be a bug in the system, as it is occurring on all iPads, including some very old ones we had from past uses. Has anyone experienced this and is there a workaround?
Thanks, Wick
