Certificate activation is disallowed by the domain's CAA record. Please check your DNS settings.

I have Server Side Tag Management installed for using Server Side Tag Management.

We make use of the Google Cloud Platform

We have set-up a custom domain sgtm.truckstar.nl

This is a custom domain that is used in our Server Container.

This is a domain with an autorenewal certificate.

But right now, the certificate is expired.

It should have been auto-renewed, but something is preventing this. The Error I see is:

“Certificate activation is disallowed by the domain’s CAA record. Please check your DNS settings.”

What to do right now; We tried to add this line to the CAA record of the main domain.

“pki.goog; cansignhttpexchanges=yes”. This didn’t do anything (yet).

Do you know if i have to force Google Cloud to try to auto-renew the certificate?

Can some-one help me to fix this problem? Or point me in the right direction?

Regards,

Erik Stuut
