I’m getting error OR-ACH-09 (“pay the prepayment requirement for your billing account”) when trying to remove or switch my payment method in Google payments center.
The billing account it points to is closed, has $0.00 balance, no linked projects, and no transactions. There is no “Pay now” banner in Payment settings.
I’m fully stuck in a loop:
- Can’t pay the prepayment because no payment option appears anywhere
- Can’t reopen the account, it says “not in good standing”
- Can’t get billing support, chat and email are unavailable for closed accounts
- The console support form requires a project, which I don’t have
The billing AI assistant confirmed there’s no outstanding balance and said this needs a manual backend adjustment to release the payment method restriction, but I can’t reach a human agent through any channel.
Can a Googler or product expert please escalate this? I just want to remove my old card and set my new one as primary.
