Appsheet has change way to manage source form cloud database and my app has died because of cannot revised current setting for cloud database connection. Anyone are facing with same situation as me? please help to solve
I got this same error this morning. I tried to login to my cloud database but it doesn’t work. Now my account page is blank and I cannot update the database source.

The Login - AppSheet page does not load for us.
I have been experiencing the same error since yesterday afternoon. I tried to access my cloud database but was unsuccessful. Now my account page is blank, and I cannot update the underlying data source. I am from Indonesia.
I’ve also been experiencing the same problem as well, and since approximately 16 to 18 hours ago. I’m utilizing a MySQL VPS and just recently, I can’t get access to the cloud database connection through the account settings, all of the sudden, it displays a blank page every time I tried to gain access there.

If you haven’t already done so, please contact Support for help with this. This looks like a server-side bug. Contacting Support is the best way to put pressure on Google/AppSheet to investigate and fix.
Attn @Jose_Arteaga
Hello all,
I have reached out to the engineering team. They are aware of the situation and we can expect this to be resolved soon.
Thank you so much. Hope to see solution will be delivered soon!
A fix has been implemented. It might take a while for the fix to replicate but please test and let us know
Failed to connect to database
Tested database: PostgreSQL database , SSL not required.
VPS-side evidence from the same test:
- No TCP SYN packet reached port
5432. - Firewall drop counter did not change:
30 → 30. - PostgreSQL recorded no new external session.
Therefore, the AppSheet Test Connection job did not send a request to the VPS. The issue is not related to the password, SSL, PostgreSQL, or the VPS IP allowlist.
Please verify whether the fix has been rolled out to our tenant/region and check the Test Connection job trace at the time above.
At around 01:20 UTC, I enabled TLS/SSL on the VPS, updating the connection parameter from “Don’t require SSL” to “Require SSL”, and the connection test succeeded almost immediately. However, when I attempted to sync/fetch the app, I observed incoming connection requests from AppSheet hitting the database, but it appeared that AppSheet was unable to read the schema, or its schema queries were failing.
By 03:00 UTC, I re-tested the connection and both connection modes (“Don’t require SSL” and “Require SSL”) passed successfully. Nevertheless, fetching the app still fails. I have tried regenerating tables to re-establish the server connection and even creating a new test app to add a table, but neither worked. It seems AppSheet has resolved the underlying network connection error, but the issue with reading the cloud database schema remains.
It looks like the issue has been resolved at around 4:20 UTC 26/9. The database connection using the non-SSL method is now working, and the app has successfully refetched data and is back online. Hopefully, it stays stable from here.
Thank @Steve fore your advice, thank @Jose_Arteaga for your active folow case, thank you to the technical team for intervening and fixing the problem.
Moving forward, I hope AppSheet provides clear advance announcements for upcoming upgrades so users like us can prepare proactively. As a no-code, low-tech user, encountering a system crash like this leaves me with no choice but to wait passively and run continuous tests over nearly last 36 exhaustive hours. It was certainly quite a frustrating experience!
Everything’s running well on my end too — thank you to @Steve , @Jose_Arteaga and everyone involved for getting the maintenance sorted quickly.
I’d also like to echo @Biên_Trịnh_Ngọc’s point: it would really help if maintenance like this could be flagged to us in advance, so we’re all aware ahead of time that AppSheet will be unavailable and can plan around it accordingly. In particular, the issue took place for over 24 hours, which had a real impact on our work.
I’ve been monitoring AppSheet’s status over the past 4 hours and noted the following:
- The AppSheet app is back up and running.
- Users are now able to enter data.
Issue noted: Sync time is extremely slow it is taking 3 to 4 minutes (previously only 10-20 seconds), even on a test app with a few tables totaling just a few hundred KB. It seems like queries from AppSheet to PostgreSQL are still having issues.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
Yes. I noticed that as well. From my side, the sync time felt slower than usual, even though the app’s functioning fine.
