Cannot add Service Callout in GSP842 - "HTTP Target" field is missing, Add button disabled

Hello,

I am stuck on Task 4 of the GSP842 lab (“Modernizing Applications with Apigee X”).

I am trying to add the SC-GoogleGeocode policy as instructed.

When I go to Extension > Create new policy and click on “Service Callout”, the dialog box that opens is wrong.

It only shows the ‘Name’ and ‘Display Name’ fields. It does NOT show the ‘HTTP Target’ field that the lab instructions mention.

Because the “HTTP Target” field is missing, the “Add” button is disabled, and I cannot continue the lab. This is extremely confusing.

I am not familiar with the “GSP842 lab”.

But, if you are using https://console.cloud.google.com/apigee/proxies/your-proxy-name-here , to develop an API Proxy, and you click the + button to add a policy,

…you should see the dialog that allows you to select a policy.

When I do this, it looks like this:

And as you can see it shows the HTTP Target box. There is no “Add” button - the button is labeled “Create”. And it’s not disabled even though I haven’t entered anything in the HTTP Target input box.

Is this not what you are doing? Can you share some screenshots?

Is it possible you need to scroll down to see the Input box and the button?

Hello,

I’m having this problem too. I tried your suggestion, but I don’t see the HTTP target, nor the “Create” button.
