Can we configure an Internal application load balancer as a backend to an API Gateway?

We want our external clients to hit our APIs hosted on Internal Cloud Run service. We are working on a POC to that looks like API Gateway >> Internal Load Balancer >> Cloud Run. Is this possible to achieve this ?
