Can Format Rule Work on slice ?

Hi Expert ?

Can Format Rule Work on slice ? The answer is no and that cause me some illogical formatting condition. I f wish to format the EMPLOYEE ID under the condition (1) Column H is blank (2) Column L is > 4 hours from NOW(). It format all the other previous 3 row above. Is there a way to do that we only want that concern row?

Hi @desmond_lee

Did you try:

AND(
  ISBLANK([CLOCK OUT]),
  NOW()>[SHIFT END TIME],
  (NOW()-[SHIFT END TIME])>"0.04:00:00"
)

Oops thank you so much. I really appreciate your help. I found an error. There is no shift end clock. Your formula is working perfectly

Oops I think I found out something else that this format rule failed. See the employee # NP160 and 4166. NP160 has 3 rows and the latest row has no clock out. ANd 4166 has only 1 row and that is the row not clock out. 4166 is highlighted red but NP160 is still black font. I think the expression cannot detect the last row. I did use a any(select())… but format rule give me a warning saying that will be very slow. Do take note this QRCode is a live QRCode. It will expired in 1 minute.

The format rule is not focusing on any last row from the expression I gave you. Can you provide more details on your need?

Exactly that is what I meant by there is limitation in format rules. Anywhere thanks
