Same problem here. GCA Sign in freezes with blue spinning circle. Have tried many different ways to troubleshoot, including complete wipe/reinstall of VS Code but no progress.

I discovered the fix by myself :
1 - so first of all go to google cloud console on your new account and start chat with gemini in it and give him all of the rights.
2 - after that delete all of your existing projects, and create new one.
3 - Then go into VS Code find the only account which u can log in without getting stucked. Log into it, on the top find the selecting projects menu click it, find the blue user icon - click it and with it log into your new account.
I’ve just done that and that worked, but now i can’t log into previous account only new one so basically it’s google or vscode bug when u can’t log into multiple accounts for some reason
after aneble API in a specific project on GCP you have to configure VS code. set “Geminicodeassist: Project” at Gemini Assistant extension and it will be good.
