I’ve been using dropbox as my datasource in all of my apps for ages.
On 25 June 2026, I got this error in one of my apps

Unable to fetch app defitinion.
Error:Error: Unable to read the spreadsheet for 'mytablename' due to spreadsheet reader error: ReadElementContentAsInt returned index value '0' which is grater than _sharedStringsList count of 0.
Error: Data table 'myappfoldernameindropbox:mytablename' is not available"

Today (29 June 2026) I got the same error for 2 of my apps (different app and different table from the 25 june) despite not editing anything.

When i open the excel in dropbox, its said I need to repair it. When i click repair, some of my columns disappeared.

What happen and how do i prevent it?

Note that while Excel and Dropbox are supported, they are far from the best choices. I strongly recommend you consider using Google Sheets instead.
