Broadcast Notifications in Deployed App

Hello all,

Has anyone successfully sent Broadcast notifications in a deployed app?
I’ve tried it, but I’m not receiving the notifications on either mobile or desktop versions.
Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated!

App Deployment:

  • The app must be marked as “Deployed” in the AppSheet editor. Push notifications (including broadcasts) generally only work for users other than the app owner if the app is deployed.

Installing and Using the Native Mobile App:
Broadcast notifications are primarily mobile push notifications. They are sent to users who have installed the native AppSheet app (from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store) on their mobile device AND who have opened your specific app at least once through the native AppSheet app.

  • Users who access the app only through a web browser (desktop or mobile) generally do not receive these push notifications in the same way.

Branded App Cases (White Label):

  • If your app is a “branded app” (i.e., a custom app with its own icon and .apk or .ipa file), push notifications are not enabled by default.
