Blocked from Paid Video Feature (Veo/Imagen) due to Allowlist Error 17301594

Account Status: Google Cloud Pay-As-You-Go User and Google AI Pro Paid Subscriber ($19.99/mo)

I am writing because I am currently blocked from using the Video Generation feature included with my paid Gemini AI Pro subscription due to a mandatory safety policy restriction on the Vertex AI side.

The system consistently returns the following error when processing the input image:

Error Message: The input image contains content that has been blocked by your current safety settings for person/face generation. Support codes: 17301594.

The support code 17301594 confirms this is a restriction related to the “Child” safety category, meaning my Google Cloud project requires an allowlist entry for the personGeneration: allow_all setting.

As I am on the Basic (Free) Google Cloud Support tier, I cannot file a technical support ticket. I have tried the Gemini Customer Support chat, who advised they cannot action the Vertex AI policy change.

I am requesting assistance from a Google engineer or team member familiar with Vertex AI policy allowlists to review and apply the necessary exception to my project.

Did you manage to resolve it? If yes, could you share what worked (e.g., switching to personGeneration: "allow_all", getting the project allowlisted, changing the input image/cropping, or any other workaround)?
