I'm blending 2 datasources.
1st - CRM composed by Date, Team and Sales
2nd - GOALS composed by Date, Team and Sales
I've created a calculated field in both datasources to transform DD/MM/YYYY in MM.YYYY
I'm using Right Outer join, and joining TEAM and MM.YYYY
What I need is, for each TEAM MM.YYYY that I have in GOALS I found the aggregated Sales in CRM and GOALS
In both DBs I filtered Team (SALES) and MM.YYYY (02.2025)
In CRM I found 5 lines adding 697.351,93 in Sales
In GOALS I found 1 line adding 201.307,64
I hoped that after the blend I would get the results above, instead I'm getting
CRM Sales correctly (697.351,93) and GOALS is beeing multiplied by 5 (number of CRM lines in that specific month)
How do I fix that?
I
Hi,
You’re almost there! To get the results you need, we just need to refine a few details in your blend setup. First, make sure that the fields used for joining have the same data type, if they don’t match, the blend won’t work correctly. Even something as small as an extra space can cause a mismatch. If the data was entered manually, there’s a chance that inconsistencies, such as extra spaces or formatting differences are causing the issue.
To avoid any hiccups, take a moment to clean up the data, especially in the fields used for blending. Trim unnecessary spaces, standardize formatting, and ensure everything is consistent. Once that’s done, your blend should work seamlessly.
For reference, you can check the expected results here:

Thanks for your reply, I’ve done everything you said, however I keep getting the wrong results.
The only thing is that now I understand better what Looker is doing, however I didn’t find solutions. I re-wrote the post, to make it more clear the problem
Sure, no problem. I will be happy to check your data source. You can email me at
