Billing restored but Compute Engine resources missing (Project: (PII Removed by Staff)\)

Hi Google Cloud Billing/Support,

Our Cloud Billing account (PII Removed by Staff) was suspended for non-payment. We have now paid the outstanding balance (Payment profile ID: (PII Removed by Staff), date: 2025-08-19 02:07). After re-enabling billing I cannot find our Compute Engine VMs in project (PII Removed by Staff).

Please investigate whether the resources were suspended or permanently removed during the billing suspension, and advise on recovery options. Relevant details: Project number: (PII Removed by Staff)

Hi @odunsitope,

If your Cloud Billing account was closed, all billable services in all projects that use that Cloud Billing account were stopped. While a project is in this state, some resources might be deleted and might not be fully recoverable, even if you restore the project within the 30-day period. If your project is shut down for more than 30 days, your project and resources are marked for deletion and can’t be recovered. After you reopen your billing account, you might need to manually restart some services.
