Big query property ID linking

Hello,

we have recently moved from GA360 to GA4. The property ID now has a limit of 1 million events a day. With that restriction, the data is not moving from the intraday table to the events table. The property in big query currently is broken and useless for analytics.

Per the original contract with Google, there is an old property ID that was whitelisted for unlimited events. We would like to swap this current property ID to the old one to get away from the event restriction.

question is, how do we swap that in the console ourselves to get over this issue?

To swap the property ID in GA4 for BigQuery export:

  1. Go to Admin in Google Analytics.
  2. Under Property, click BigQuery Linking.
  3. Select the current BigQuery link and update the Property ID to the old whitelisted ID.
  4. Confirm the change and ensure the data flows correctly into BigQuery.

This should remove the event limitation.
