Best Practices for Developing Looker Dashboards

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on developing dashboards in Looker and would love to hear from the community about best practices. What strategies do you recommend for designing user-friendly and visually appealing dashboards? Are there specific tips for optimizing performance or ensuring data accuracy?

Any insights or resources you can share would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

I think this article is a pretty good start

This is one of my favorite pieces of our documentation; Selecting an effective data visualization.

The visualization you choose can make or break the message you’re trying to convey through your data! You also have a lot of options to customize each visualization. For example, a lot of valuable information can be added to a Single Value Visualization. Tooltip customization (Getting the most out of Looker visualizations cookbook) is another great way to add depth and critical detail.

Once you are happy with the vis on your dashboard, you can take it one step further and add layers of more complex drilling.
