avoid formula field in virtual columns that is manadatory and use only show_if field

Hello!

I need some fields, yes/no type, and if the user click “yes”, another field will be shown. But My table has already more than 100 columns (Postgresql DB) and I don’t want to create these columns in Postgresql, so, I created a virtual column in Appsheet table, and I used show_if, but, I see, the formula field of my virtual column is mandatory and I get an error. What formula would I write that does not affect my virtual column function at all, i.e. a formula that does nothing? Or how can I escape this?

I’m afraid virtual columns are meant for calculation and you can’t use them to fill any value.

Yes, indeed. I tried many workarounds, it didn’t work.
