Availability metric/report in Apigee.

Hi,

Is there any report (out of the box or custom) present or can be generated in Apigee which shows Downtime/Up-time of a proxy (or Apigee infrastructure related to an organization)?

I am aware that Apigee has a very high availability (99.9 % for cloud version, per documentation). Also I have seen “API Proxy Performance” metrics provided by apigee which measure all Incoming traffic and errors, but I am not sure whether this accounts any issues (like network glitches, infrastructure issues, Cloud provider issues) that block any traffic to a Apigee proxy.

Hi Mohan,

Analytics is not the right tool for this, as the Analytics Engine may suffer downtime, and then this would not be reflected.

Typically, I would recommend using an external tool to poll a /ping resource. There is a great article on this here.
