Why can I choose a slice of data to work on in a task, but cannot choose slices when configuring a process? Automation is not gelling well in my brain compared to workflows

As a follow up to my own question I have discovered that if I choose a Schedule as the Event type, you can choose a Slice from the list of tables, but only unsliced tables if its a data change event

Yes, this is consistent with the workflow functionality. Its due to the fact that slice are not editable and therefore there cant be a change event on a slice.

Sorry my explanation was confusing. I meant that the changes don’t happen on the slice but the underlying data source for it.

So just like actions, tasks are associated with tables directly, not with tables or slices?
