Enhancement AppSheet apps for desktop users (Preview)

The new desktop design, currently in preview, is optimized for desktop browsers, presenting a more complete view of information with a consistent organization and structure. The new desktop design lets users navigate their apps more easily and access information in context, and provides an efficient way to edit existing records without losing context.

Enhancement Improved experience for adding a table


We’re refreshing the look and feel of one of the key components of app creation: adding new tables in the app editor to connect your data with AppSheet.



When you add a new table by navigating to to Data > Tables and clicking +New Table, the following provides an example of the new dialog:

Preview announcements

The AppSheet Preview program lets app creators try out new app features that are not yet fully supported. Learn how to participate in the AppSheet preview program for app client features.

Feature Table view

Feature Chart Editor

App Creators can now make use of our new chart editor and the new and improved charts it can create. Learn more.

Rich text formatting is now available in Detail views. For details, see this announcement in the community.

Slice has been supported by AppSheet API from the beginning, so I wonder this could be a typo of Google Data Studio?

@Koichi_Tsuji - Thank you for your inquiry! You are correct that table slices have worked with the API, but this change corrects some minor issues AND adds support to table slices with Data Studio data sources (as you point out). I’ve clarified the description.

@SkrOYC - I’ve fixed the table format! Thanks for calling this out!
