Appsheet signature path lost in iPad

I have an app that collects two signatures for each job entry. We collect some via a laptop with a touch screen at our headquarters. These signatures are stored properly as graphics in the cloud. We have assessors that go out with ipads with the jobs info. The fields they see include these two signatures. If there were none collected at headquarters, they are to collect them in the field.

We turn off wireless to the iPads in the field and then sync them when they come back to headquarters. If there are existing signatures on a job, and they open the job in the ipad while it is in airplane mode, they usually see the signature in the listing. If they edit the record to record information, they signature disappears from that field and only a small blue dot with a question mark appears.

If they open the job while connected to wireless, they see the signature even when editing the entry.

This was not happening previously, but is prevalent now. We are using 11 inch ipads with M2 chips. They are up to the latest IOS version and Appsheet app latest version as well (June 2026).

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks!

This strongly suggests a bug introduced by ongoing AppSheet development at Google. Please contact Support for help with this.

Thanks @Steve,

Hello @NCBOM,

As Steve correctly states, the best option here is to contact the support team. You can do so by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Appsheet help

  2. Scroll down to the bottom, you will find a box with the following text

    Need more help?

    Try these next steps:

    Contact us
Tell us more and we’ll help you get there

  3. At this point you will be redirected to a three steps process in which users will possibly find answers to the query they have. Click Next

  4. Click Next Step

  5. Specify your preferred language and either click on Chat or e-mail

It is important to mention that AppSheet support is not available for free accounts.

I hope this helps!

@NCBOM, did you get anywhere with this?

No. I got an email from Google of their escalation of the issue but have heard nothing since then. I’ll post here with whatever I do get from them.

Thanks @NCBOM and @Steve,

@NCBOM, do you have the ticket number?

I think it is
103205

My help submission was through online chat. That’s an id number sent to me in a follow up email.

Thx.

Thanks @NCBOM,

This number seems to be incomplete, did you receive an email? I’m thinking the ticket number might be specified there.

Perhaps this is it - it was in the subject line of the email I received:

8-1847000041557

Thanks, Wick

Thanks!

I found your ticket and it is currently under investigation. I will continue monitoring it.
