Is it okay and or possible to have the same Google Sheet as the data store for both Appsheet and Looker? I’m thinking about using both as Appsheet’s strong suit is data capture and Looker’s strong suit is data presentation. Are there any disadvantages to doing this? Appsheet & Looker could be a great dynamic duo. Can both use the same Google Sheet or same data store?
Ultimately you need to make the decision if it’s “OK” to have the same Google Sheet as a datasource for Appsheet and Looker. Is it possible? Absolutely, as they are options as a connector within both Appsheet and Looker. Possible disadvantages are data size limitations within Google Sheets, so you will want to check if the amount of data you are planning on storing in GSheets will “fit”. Do take note that Looker can also connect to Appsheet directly, so you could still connect Appsheet to Google Sheets and then connect Looker to the Appsheet application. This is probably mostly helpful if you do any special virtual column calculations in your Appsheet application though.
