I have a embedded app view sent to emails. It works on desktop just fine, it works on mobiles just fine for every user, except 1 user, who is experiencing the embedded view to almost be cropped so the prompts do not appear. We double checked the settings that ‘support.google’ page suggested for the embedded views such as make sure dynamic email is enabled, always display external images is enabled, allow 3rd party cookies enabled in google chrome, user is using the default gmail app installed on his mobile device. Refreshing the cropped version gives the same cropped result
We get no error codes or anything, just a not fully rendered view. Any suggestions or tips would be very helpful. Thank you.
Pictured is from my mobile of what a working view looks like with the Accept and Deny Prompts and the other picture is what the end user in question sees of the not fully rendered view from his mobile.
It seems like a device side problem
What device?
Is it up to date on its OS?
Is AppSheet itself up to date? - don’t rely on automatic updates.
Its a google Pixel 7 device
OS is up to date
AppSheet as far as I’m aware is also up to date
I would confirm that the AppSheet app itself is most recent. Should be version 16.8
Next I would go through the item found in the article to Troubleshoot embedded app view email
Confirmed up to date and already did that Troubleshoot steps with no success
I agree with @WillowMobileSys that this looks like a device-side problem. The two screenshots have several differences. I suspect the user has “customized” their phone, and one of those “customizations” is interfering with the rendering.
Ok waiting to get our hands on another mobile device to test. Will report back when I have the results. Thank you all
Is it only the Pixel 7 that is having issues? Or are other Pixel 7’s working fine?
If it helps any, I did a search for “Issue displaying HTML emails on Google Pixel 7” and there were a few suggestions of things to try.
Yes its only happening on his work issued pixel 7. We all have pixel 7s as company issued phones and everyone has no issues on their mobile, tablet, desktop versions except this one user on mobile.
Looks like the user has enabled accessibility settings that increase sizing of items on their phone screen. This is probably causing the embedded detail display to fail at showing the information within the ‘card’ section of the email.
It’s possible that accessibility settings are not implemented properly or width settings are set too exact?
Try asking the user about font sizes etc…if reducing them makes the view display then the problem is with Google’s implementation of the embedded view.
Can confirm 12/15/2025 that it is in fact a mobile device issue, we used another mobile device and the email render & acted as it should. Looking into the accessibility settings today.
Thanks for this. Would appreciate knowing what your final diagnosis is, too.
This was the end users display settings, once we adjusted the Display size just one notch to the + side and re-tested, the email was correct and acted as it should.
Thank you!
Hi @MKapfer ,
Thank you for posting the resolution measures.
I believe @ScottDev1 's guidance has been instrumental in your resolution of the issue. It will be great if you mark his post as solution.
