I’ve noticed a persistent bug for more than 3 months now: AppSheet does not record which users have actually activated the app after it’s been shared. This creates confusion for app creators, since we have no way of knowing whether our invited users have accessed the app or not.
What’s surprising is that I haven’t seen any discussion or acknowledgment of this issue from the community or the dev team, and there doesn’t seem to be any fix in progress.
It also feels like AppSheet development has slowed down recently—no new features being released, and existing user-reported issues aren’t being addressed. This raises concerns for me about how Google is maintaining AppSheet. Honestly, I’m starting to look into alternative platforms that are more stable and allow for deeper customization.
Thank you, we definitely appreciate you taking the time to let us know about this issue. We are actively investigating and we will get back to you at the earliest. Thanks for your patience.
@cschalk_ws assures me @Jose_Arteaga is real, though everything he’s posted definitely reads like AI. But even if he’s a real person at Google using AI to respond to posts, it’s a huge improvement in AppSheet’s community engagement.
I can assure you all that @Jose_Arteaga is a real person and has recently joined our community team to help users with AppSheet.
Please feel free to extend a warm welcome to him. It will make his day to know that our community will sincerely appreciate his contributions as he gets up to speed.
You have no idea what I’m talking about, right? I’m saying everyone I shared the app with is using it now, but AppSheet only shows a few old users as active. I think it’s a new bug.
