AppSheet does not record which users have actually activated the app after it’s been shared

I’ve noticed a persistent bug for more than 3 months now: AppSheet does not record which users have actually activated the app after it’s been shared. This creates confusion for app creators, since we have no way of knowing whether our invited users have accessed the app or not.

What’s surprising is that I haven’t seen any discussion or acknowledgment of this issue from the community or the dev team, and there doesn’t seem to be any fix in progress.

It also feels like AppSheet development has slowed down recently—no new features being released, and existing user-reported issues aren’t being addressed. This raises concerns for me about how Google is maintaining AppSheet. Honestly, I’m starting to look into alternative platforms that are more stable and allow for deeper customization.

Hello,

AppSheet allows you to share your apps with users in different ways. You could Share your app with anyone by enabling public access to your app or Share your apps with a restricted audience.

Could you clarify?

Thanks!

The OP seems to make that clear. Are you a bot?

Any update?

Does not make sense for you to speak to the bot as it never answers properly. Don’t waste your time !

@cschalk_ws assures me @Jose_Arteaga is real, though everything he’s posted definitely reads like AI. But even if he’s a real person at Google using AI to respond to posts, it’s a huge improvement in AppSheet’s community engagement.

Hello @hien_nguyen,

While you have this option to share the app with a restricted audience, AppSheet does not have any report on who activates the application.

In the support article I shared you can find instructions on how to Send reminders to individual users and/or broadcast notifications to the users list.

You have no idea what I’m talking about, right? I’m saying everyone I shared the app with is using it now, but AppSheet only shows a few old users as active. I think it’s a new bug.

You are correct!

I did not understand before, my apologies. Let me research and I’ll get back to you.
