So I find this to be completely aggravating to the point im almost pulling my hair out.
context: I started inputting data into AppSheet database primarily to try it out. I feel meh about it and would rather have my source data to be in google sheets, where all my other data is.
my attempts: I went through the steps to create an app which displays every bit of data I entered then create an action to export my data to csv. but it doesn’t download everything. aggravating. I’ve also followed steps to try and copy the data which still wont let me take it outside of database. I knew it was too good to be true.
my wtf -flips table- feels: WHY CAN I NOT HAVE MY DATA EXPORTED TO GOOGLE SHEETS WHICH IS A GOOGLE FLIPPIN PRODUCT?! someone please help. there has to be an easier way because why can I simply get my google sheet to AppSheet but not vice versa?!
Did you try this option in the editor - table settings?
Yes, it is a little surprising there is no export option in the AppSheet Database feature. AppSheet Database is a relatively new, platform grown services designed to work specifically with AppSheet. It is still very much in its infancy!!
In addition to this suggestion above…there are couple of other options.

A direct copy/paste. You should be able to open the AppSheet Database and select all rows and columns, copy them and then paste into the desire sheet. A good option if you only have a few tables to move over.

Make a copy of the app and choose to “Copy Data”. This will create a Google Sheet based source of each table in the app by default. Then move the resulting worksheets to your desired source Sheets file.

If the above / below suggestions do not work, you could try setting up an action to export the data as a CSV then open it in Google Sheets. It is not ideal, but may just help overcome the frustration you are experiencing.
