AppSheet Automation – Email Template Logo Missing When Sent

Hi everyone,

I’m using a Google Docs file as the email template for an AppSheet automation.
In the Google Doc, the header has a logo that is embedded as a PNG image (hard-coded inside the document).

When I preview the template inside the AppSheet editor, the logo appears correctly.
But when the automation actually sends the email, the logo does not show — only the outline/placeholder appears.

Has anyone faced this issue before?
Is there a recommended way to add a logo to a Google Docs–based email template so it renders correctly in outgoing emails?

This appears to be a new issue. Contact Support for help with it.

I had this issue many times.

It never worked with a google doc template that has a header.

The solution was to always remove the header in the doc template and to insert the logo as an image at the top of the page.
