Apostrophe generated before type decimal, converting to string in google sheets?

I have a form submitting to google sheets,

the cell type is decimal, but when I submit the data it is adding an apostrophe before the number. Causing google sheets to see it as a string and is not evaluating the conditional formatting I have in place.

It doesn’t do this with my other data collection app, why is it doing it in this one?

How do I fix this?

Hey,

make sure The Table FieldType in your App is Decimal, too.

Bingo! I was completely forgetting about the data tables that the actions were linked to, I never set them to decimal, they were all text.
